A on "A" Mountain

Arizona, been thinkin about ya.

I thought this broken hair tie looked like a fancy capital A so of course, had to get a photo.  Which got the attention of the older gentlemen who had ridden up on their motorcycles, and they agreed.  I'll share one of them later.

Xmas present from Enchilada. Wow wow ow-ow-ow!

This is one of the coolest things I own... : )

Film Italiani

I blame the full moon.

I'm beating up on myself because it might end up taking me eight years just to get a bachelor of arts.  But I shouldn't be; there should be no rush to "get out there."  The only thing to do is keep going and finish what I've started, but as with many other bachelors degrees people are getting these days, mine does not really have a clear path and I'm just as likely to end up being a barista or working in retail as those with only a high school diploma.  Wah-wah.

True or False?

It's better to have an open-relationship because there'll be cheating in monogamous relationships anyways.

These are the kind of "match questions" the okcupid website asks.  I answer a few here and there but don't really pay that much attention to the percentages the site presents.  You always have to investigate further to see if that percentage is at all rational and it often doesn't seem to be.

So what'd I answer?  False.  Because I know we're animals but we are also intelligent beings who are capable of choosing one person and choosing not to cheat.

One way (or another?)

I had a small print of this picture made a while ago and ended up putting it in a frame and hanging it on the wall the other day.  It looks kind of stupid, but better than an empty nail.  I don't have at least five calendars now like I did last year.  My best girl friend was over at my place and I joked that the idea of the photo is that the only way is many ways.  She cracked up but also somehow connected it to Bob Dylan and The Times They Are a-Changin'.  Hippie! ♥

the holidays

The holidays this year were all right.  Suddenly winter break was over and it was time to go back to school, but they were pretty good.  I don't think I got a present for anybody...!  So I didn't expect a bunch of presents from anyone but I got some really cool stuff...  And of course the iPod Touch was the Wow! gift but I got these lovely earrings too...  They were given to me by people who know me very well. :)

They sparkle so amazingly that my camera can't even focus on them....  ♥

Sock monkey magnets

I'm copying my sister and making the small pictures from the back of last year's calendar into magnets. I may or may not do something with the large versions.

They didn't have a mini January one but it's okay because I love March (bottom row, second from right) the best.  YAY LADY!

Ciao for now green chair

Today I said goodbye to an armchair that has been in my possession for about four years and in my life for over a decade.  I returned the green chair (aka The Gravity Chair - haha) to my best girl friend's family, where it had originally come from.  They were happy to take it back and eventually it will be getting reupholstered, yay!  It is a wonderful style of chair that belongs in a big house like theirs rather than my small apartment.  Now I need a cute little table...

trees

On top of the mountains in Tucson there is a resort town and so there are some shops and restaurants.  Outside one of them there were some birch trees that had carvings all over them.  Poor tree... but I carved my name too!

Some of the forest up there looked like this, because there was a fire in 2003.  Poverini!

On to the next year

They played the Bun B I've been listening to lately at Rotture on NYE, of course without the 2010 part.

wow

I finally saw the end of the second Classy Christmas episode of The Office, and too bad if you don't watch it - I'm gonna tell you that at the end of the episode after he had been terrorizing Jim, Dwight says, "In the end, the greatest snowball isn't a snowball at all.  It's fear.  Merry Christmas."  He's psycho!

2011

It's a new year and I decided that it's a great time to start a new blog.  My previous blog was around for three years, and that's pretty good but I randomly used it.  Honestly, my ridiculous URL bothered me.  Not many people are going to understand what I'm referencing.  The link for this blog is simply my would-be surname, if it hadn't been changed at Ellis Island when my great-grandparents came to the U.S.

NYE @ Branx

This used to be The Loveland Theater...

NYE was fortunately dry but super cold.  'Tis the season to get sick but I'm hoping that the little cough I have will not stay because I've been taking care of myself.  I think I'm mostly just beat from being busy and having an irregular sleeping pattern.  In 12 hours I'm supposed to be in class!
